About the Symposium

Engineering shapes the foundations of our society—not only in terms of infrastructure and innovation, but also in terms of safeguarding the health and safety of the people within it.

We invite engineers, researchers, practitioners and safety leaders to attend 'Engineering a Safer Future'- a symposium that highlights the essential role of engineering in creating safer environments, systems, and processes for all.

This event will showcase how engineering can lead the way in solving pressing safety challenges and inspire new thinking across sectors.

Cost to Attend

$50 for NZSES members, $70 for non-members.

Includes admittance to the symposium morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

The NZSES committee will arrange a post-symposium informal gathering at a nearby establishment for those who wish to stay on and further network with the delegates and the committee members.
